Party Season With Simply Be

‘Tis the season to party, and the sequin and glitter items are out in full force! There are office parties, catch ups with friends, and of course the main events – Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Happily,Simply Be have got you covered when it comes to party looks, and hopefully there is something for everyone and every occasion on their pretty extensive website!
Now I know that for some people it’s not quite as simple and picking up a few items, and it can be daunting to get all glitzed up. We all like to look and feel our best, and for some people that means covering or flaunting certain parts. And soSimply Beasked Katie's Twitter page to send in questions for their favourite bloggers for party season looks and inspiration. A common concern fromSimply Becustomers was that outfits would show their arms, or wouldn’t accommodate them. Here is just one arm related query that a Simple Be customer sent in:
“I have big arms and have to buy a size larger to accommodate. Do you have any suggestions for a flattering style? How to be covered but not look like a granny?â€
I personally often think this too, as I feel quite ambivalent about my upper arms, and I do find that some outfits fit super snugly over them. And that’s why thisstunning green velvet wrap dressis ideal for anyone looking for arm coverage.

The amazing and spacious batwing sleeves provide great coverage and a little glamour, and they don’t detract from how stunning this dress is. It could be worn bare legged as shown, or with tights or leggings, and it’s made of a lovely soft, stretchy velvet. The gorgeous jewel tones feel very wintery, and you could even add some red accessories if you wanted to go full Christmas!
I would recommend sizing up in this dress if you have a larger hip/bottom like myself, as the wrap detail makes it quite revealing.

So I am pretty rubbish at walking in heels, but these excellentglittery heeled wide fit platformswere shockingly easy to fasten and wear. They look high, but I was actually able to walk in them without gripping onto the wall! The blingy heel is a nice touch, as it means they are sparkly without being overpowering, and they’ll go with so many things.
Now I know what you’re thinking… a crushed velvet dress is lush, but gimme some bling, some sparkle! It’s Christmas, and it’s time to shine! And hopefully this next outfit will appeal to thisSimply Becustomer who broke my heart with this query that they sent into the brand:
“I am a size 20/22 and I feel like I’ve lost my confidence. What can I wear to help?â€

This amazing dress will dazzle those around you in the very best way! I really like how it’s constructed with a faux wrap and a full covered up dress underneath – so no leg flashing in this number! The sleeves are spacious, and the bust doesn’t pull open and it shows just enough cleavage. I would say size wise it’s bang on, and would recommend adding a slip underneath as you can feel the stitching in places.

Once again I managed to pick some pretty sturdy and good to walk in heels to pair it with –these gorgeous sandals with a diamante trim. They finish off the look perfectly, adding a tiny bit more bling to this glitter ball of an outfit! The ankle strap is a great length for thicker legs like mine, and there was no rubbing or cutting in.
Simply Behave also got some pretty epic bags in right now, andthis glittery lip print clutchis the perfect size to fit all the essentials in (aka my phone), and of course it’s gltter and lips – a perfect combo! It will no doubt be seen a few times before the party season is over!
